The Luxembourg Parliament approved on 14 July 2016 the bill regarding the Reserved Alternative Investment Fund (RAIF). The RAIF regime to a large extent replicates the regime applicable to the specialized investment fund (SIF) except that the RAIF is not be subject to supervision by the Luxembourg supervisory authority CSSF and is reserved for the structuring of alternative investment funds that appoint a duly authorized AIFM. The full enactment process is expected to be completed before month end.
